There is no way our family can ever express our gratitude to Dr. Hochman and THTF for the help that our son, Connor, has received. Conner has a facial hemangioma. We had taken him to doctors all over our state, with no course of treatment offered. Thankfully, when Connor was four months old, we made the five hour drive to meet Dr. Hochman. Thre was never any question whether he would be willing to help us. The only question was how soon! We are forever grateful that someone else has cared so much for our child. Conner will be going for his fourth laser treatment soon, and we have seen vast improvements. There are no more ulcerations or spontaneous bleeding episodes. We are thrilled with the results as we watch the hemangioma shrink and fade. Thank you so much Dr. Hochman and the Foundation for all that you are doing for families like ours. What a truly inspiring website....it brings tears to my eyes wishing I had had this opportunity. I would feel as if I had received a lifetime miracle if I could get rid of my birthmark.
Since I was a child people have constantly asked "what happened to your face, it is deformed on one side". As a child I cried and as I became older I found avoidance of many activities, lots of make-up, wearing my hair long and hanging down in front of my face. These habits I still do today. I won't wear my hair up EVER, I never attend outside activities in case the wind blows my hair back, I can't even meet my kids at school in the playground because I'm afraid the other parents will immediately descend on me in disgust. If I am in a situation where I have to be and my hair might fall back I hold onto it across my face. I've obviously always had long hair. My hemangioma isn't by any means the worst that many people suffer with but to me it has controlled my life and I have dreamt of being "normal looking" forever.

We just wanted to say "Thank You" for all you've done for our daughter, Natalie. I don't know what we would have done without you helping our Natalie. The day of her surgery we really questioned what we were fixing to do. However, we know we've done exactly what we needed to do as we look at her now!
From the first visit in January to our last visit in May you have been truly understanding and very informative. Your staff was always friendly to us and helped us with directions and finding a hotel.
The hospital staff was also very nice to us and to people out of town like us-in a strange place-fixing to see our daughter through surgery-that meant a lot to us.
Words can't say enough to express how grateful to you we are each time we look at our daughter.
